Years ago my husband took our son and his cousins out for a walk while the ladies went shopping. He thought it would be fun to check out the pond and the swans. He missed the sign that said, “Do not get close to the swans.” It turns out the swans were not shy - they saw John and the kids and started chasing them. We walked out of the store just in time to see them get away! It has been a good family story.
